The Shane Matheson Story
Born and raised in the beautiful coastal paradise of Bombo, NSW, Shane grew up into an enigmatic and left-handed young man. He spent his childhood playing Lego and riding his bike, much like his adulthood and possibly after death, we'll see.
He hosted a radio show called "Gravel and Friends" with Gravel, a piece of gravel, then another one called "Squid" with his cousin Matthew, not a piece of gravel. With Matthew he also formed the band "The Headbutting Priests" who performed precisely 0 gigs even though they were together for 15 years. On the other hand he was in another band called "The Flaps" who had more gigs than songs.
When Shane arrived in Sydney he became a stand up comedian after people telling him for years he should be a stand up comedian. He soon made his mark on the scene with a song about a robot and a joke about hinges.
A podcast recorded while riding bicycles with his friend Rodney was next on the fungenda, and "Spokey Blokeys" debuted in 2014 and continues TO THIS DAY.
In 2015 Shane teamed up with Madeleine Culp to produce kids comedy and the wonderful stage show "Aunty Plop Plop's Useless Shop" which was then adapted to a TV show in 2016.
Shane is available for kids parties but not shit kids.
